Waste Tanker Services
We operate a modern, high-performance tanker fleet for the uplift, transportation and disposal of bulk liquid, dry, hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Our specialist fleet is capable of transferring residues over long distances, up to 600 metres away, and can handle a 25-metre vertical lift, thanks to our substantial pump capacity of 3000 CFM.
Our highly experienced tanker drivers and operatives are fully trained to prioritise safety and compliance at all times.
We provide both planned and reactive waste tanker services to ensure your site and operations run smoothly.
Oils & Fuels Disposal
We provide a safe and compliant collection and disposal service for your bulk waste oils and fuels.
These include but are not limited to: Diesel, Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), Gas Oil, Kerosene, Petrol and Marine Fuel.
Using ADR-compliant vacuum tankers, our reliable waste tanker service reduces environmental risk by removing waste and surplus oils and fuels that can cause storage tanks to degrade and corrode. If not removed, over time this waste oil and fuel can cause unwanted tank damage, leaks and subsequent environmental risk.
As a SEPA-licensed waste carrier, we ensure that all waste oils and fuels are handled and disposed of in accordance with the current UK environmental regulations.
Sewage & Grey Water Collection
We provide specialist industrial waste tanker services to handle the safe removal and disposal of sewage and grey water.
We use third-party disposal sites who operate in full compliance with waste management licensing regulations, to ensure the sewage and grey water we collect is disposed of correctly, legally and safely, without harming the environment.
While our expertise extends across all industries, we have extensive experience in handling sewage and grey water waste for the Marine and Wastewater sectors.

Chemical Washing Disposal
Proper chemical washing disposal is crucial for environmental safety.
We offer solutions for chemical waste disposal that neutralise and remove hazardous contaminants from waste chemicals such as acids, alkalis and flammable solvents.
These treatments are carried out by our partners, prioritising safety and environmental integrity, ensuring that the resulting waste is rendered harmless and is disposed of responsibly, with the option of recycling where possible.

Process Liquids & Sludge Uplift
Removal of industrial sludge can be challenging due to the mix of solid and liquid waste, which can include hazardous materials, oils, chemicals and biological waste. Merkland Tank have the experience, equipment and knowledge to handle it.
We carry out liquid and sludge removal for a variety of purposes nationwide, using our fleet of high-suction vacuum tankers and specialist sludge removal equipment.
Our high-performance tankers can pump and handle all kinds of sludge, semi-solid and non-solid waste, ensuring safe and compliant waste removal and onward disposal at all times.
Sludge removal is often followed by Ultra-High Pressure (UHP) water jetting to remove stubborn residues and ensure the tanks and storage systems are free of contaminants.
Dry Waste Services
