Merkland Tank’s 2025 Highlights
As we count down to the holidays, we’re pleased to share a round-up of this year’s highlights!

A round-up of the year’s successes
We continued to make significant investment in our fleet and equipment with several important new additions: the heavy-duty, high-suction CycloVac Pro Skytipper (below left) and the powerful Brokk 70 Robotic Vacuum Excavator (below right).
Together they form the perfect partnership and are already enabling us to successfully deliver even more complex and challenging projects in the Construction, Renewables, Waste Water, and Manufacturing sectors with greater efficiency and precision than ever before.
We also added a Hookloader to support our versatile operations.
2025 has been another successful year for our core tank cleaning and industrial cleaning services, with an increase in challenging bitumen, chemical and foodstuff tank projects, alongside bespoke high-level building cleaning projects.
We also provided more cross-sector bulk tanker services, particularly for dry and hazardous waste in Food & Drink, Manufacturing and Waste Water.
And yet again, we successfully supported our long-standing Distillery clients with planned and reactive silent season cleaning and maintenance works across the mainland and islands.
Our Confined Space Emergency Rescue Team (ERT) remained integral in the safe delivery of our own projects, as well as providing bespoke standby ERT cover for third parties.

2026 – the year ahead
We expect continued growth in the Oil & Gas, Waste Water, Energy, Food & Drink and Manufacturing sectors, maximising the substantial power of our two CycloVacs and our Müller Recycler, and continued delivery of UHP Jetting Services and Confined Space Emergency Rescue (ERT) supply.
We will utilise our expertise with our extensive range of automated solutions, particularly our new Brokk (pictured right during a demo with our CycloVac Pro), to work faster and smarter on waste and debris removal jobs, reducing the need for manual handling and risk to our operatives.
And, we’ll continue to use the state-of-the-art MagTrack magnetic crawler for closed waterblasting and surface preparation, and the Sentinel and Compass systems for fully automated and semi-automated exchanger tube cleaning.
Just as we did in 2025, next year we will work hard to reinforce our ongoing commitment to quality, safety and environmental responsibilities with the renewal of our ISO certifications and other industry accreditations, and further investment in staff training and development across the whole business.
We will strengthen existing and new connections by exhibiting at relevant industry events, including the Tank Storage Association Conference in September 2026.
